TRASH PICK UP

   Trash pick up is every Thursday. This may change from time to time due to holidays.

 Heavy trash pick up is on regular pick up days and is restricted to 2 "heavy items" per month.

For definitions of "heavy trash", as well as what is and what is not acceptable, check the link below.

 

RECYCLING

   There are various free drop off locations throughout the Indianapolis area for recyclable

items. Curb-Side recycling of type 1 and type 2 plastic, glass, cans, and newspaper is available through Ray’s Trash Service Inc. Cost is $48 annually. Ray’s picks up on Thursdays.

  Indianapolis Power and Light (IPALCO) has stringent tree planting guidelines. This is of particular importance to the residents of Misty Lake.

 Click Right Tree, Right Place to go to the IPALCO web site. Trees planted outside of these guidelines are done at the individual homeowners risk.

  After contacting a forester with IPALCO it is clear that, while they are sympathetic, these guidelines will be strictly enforced.

Because Misty Lake is divided almost equally between the 086th & 099th District, there are 2 polling locations:
